The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) is set to convene its inaugural National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, marking a pivotal moment for healthcare in Nigeria. This gathering brings together newly elected leaders of the medical profession to chart a course for advancing healthcare delivery, addressing critical challenges, and advocating for the well-being of Nigerians.

As the representative voice of medical practitioners in the country, the NMA plays a crucial role in shaping healthcare policies and practices. This inaugural NEC meeting will focus on developing a comprehensive roadmap to address pressing healthcare issues, including but not limited to:

  • Strengthening healthcare infrastructure: Identifying strategies to improve healthcare facilities and equipment across the country.
  • Enhancing medical education and training: Developing programs to produce highly skilled and competent medical professionals.
