    Leadership of Nigeria’s Nursing Association (NANNM) Visits NMA President.


    In another development, today, the 26th of May, 2021, a delegation of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) led by her President, Nrs. Nnachi Michael E. and some of the Executive members comprising T.A. Shettima (General Secretary) and Obadiah Alfred (4th National Vice President) paid a courtesy visit to the President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Prof (Dr) Innocent A. O. Ujah, FNMA, FNAmed, mni.

    Also present during the visit call was the Secretary General, Dr. Philips Uche Ekpe and the Head of Admin, Mr. Emeka Akpa.

    The NANNM delegation came on a familiarization visit and to consolidate on the existing relationship between the Nurses and Medical Doctors.

    The commitment of both NMA and NANNM to work in partnership to improve the quality of healthcare to Nigerians was further emphasized.

    An accord was to be reached in line with the recommendations of the previous joint committee of NMA & NANNM.

    This visit is the greatest achievement as this will go along way in building cordial relationship among Nurses and Doctors for better health care delivery in the health sector

      Best way forward to atleast understand the same language and reform the health system to overcome unnecessary crises in the health btw the two pillars in the health sector.

    I hope something good comes out of this meeting,so that the heart and the brain of the health sectors speaks in a unified language, and for better patients care… Kudos to both representatives.
