The Secretariat activities for the month of January, 2018 are highlighted as follows:
Week 2
NMA President, Prof. Mike Ozovehe Ogirima led a delegation to Pay a courtesy visit to the Director Medical, Department of State Security Service (DSS) to discuss on WMA End of Life African Region Meeting Coming up from 31st to 2nd February, 2018 at Trancorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
Communiqué issued at the end of the Emergency General Meeting (EGM) of the Nigerian Medical Association Cross-Rivers State held at the General Hospital Calabar on Monday 8th January, 2018 was received at the NMA National Secretariat, Abuja.
A Text of a Press Release Issued by the Nigerian Medical Association, Cross-Rivers State Branch at the end of Their Emergency General Meeting held at General Hospital Calabar was received.
WEEK 3
NMA President, Prof. Mike O. Ogirima led a delegation to Pay a Courtesy Visit to Prof. Huseyin Sert M.D the Vice Chancellor, Nile University of Nigeria towards a collaboration on the Medical Curriculum between NMA and Nile University of Nigeria.
The New National Executive Committee of Ghana Medical Association for the period of 2017 – 2019 was communicated to NMA and letter acknowledging their Mail was sent.
Week 4
NMA President Prof. Mike O. Ogirima attended the Launching of Tobacco Advertising Promotion and Sponsorship (TAP) Finding in Abuja held on 24th January, 2018 at 3J’S Hotel, Abuja. Organize by New Initiative for Social Development.
NMA President Prof. Mike O. Ogirima led a delegation to Pay a Courtesy Visit to the Executive Director/CEO National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) on Friday 26th, 2018
Communiqué issued at the end of the National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting of the Nigerian Medical Association NMA held at Golden Tullip, Festac Town, Lagos from 10th – 17th December, 2018 was sent to Hon. Minister of Health Prof. Isaac Adewole and other top Government Official.
Invitation to the World Medical Association (WMA) African Regional Conference on End of life issues, was sent to Ministries, Agencies, Parastatals and some Stakeholders.
National Officers’ Committee (NOC) Meeting of the Nigerian Medical Association NMA held at the Conference Room of the NMA National Secretariat, on 29th January, 2018 Abuja.
NMA President Prof. Mike O. Ogirima led NMA delegation to attend the National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting of the National Association of Residents Doctors’ held on 30th January, 2018 at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
Foreign delegations from South Africa, Zambia, Cote D’Voire, Kenya arrived Nigeria for the WMA End of Life Africa Regional Meeting

ANNOUNCEMENT
The 4th NMA Doctors Games took place at Abeokuta, Ogun State from the 21st to 25th of February, 2018.
The 2018 Annual General Conference and Delegates Meeting of the NMA will hold at the Federal Capital Territory Abuja from the 29th of April to the 6th of May, 2018.
