CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO PROF. UMOH
On behalf of the National Officers Committee (NOC) ,the National Executive Council (NEC) and indeed the entire members of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), The President, Prof IAO Ujah FNMA, mni heartily congratulates Prof Augustine Vincent Umoh, Editor of the Nigerian Medical Journal (NMJ) and member of the National Officers Committee (NOC) on his well deserved appointment as Honourable Commissioner For Health, Akwa Ibom State.
As an association, we strongly believe the appointment of Prof Augustine Umoh will add great value to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State’s completion agenda.
We also know, he will not fail to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new office having served creditably in all the previous offices he had held.
Some of these offices include; Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital(UUTH); Provost, College of Health Sciences, University of Uyo; Member; Governing Boards of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital,Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Calabar, Cross River State.
Prof. Augustine Umoh who is the 14th Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Akwa Ibom State branch is a serial trailblazer who has brought immense pride to the medical community.
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) also expresses her profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State and the NMA Healthcare Ambassador, His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel for finding our colleague worthy of this high office and for the honour done our association.
Furthermore NMA appreciates the Governor for the giant strides recorded by his administration in the health sector.
As an association,we will continue to partner with you and indeed governments at all levels towards the enhancement of health care delivery in our dear country for the health and well-being of all Nigerians.
Once again, we wish Prof Augustine Vincent Umoh a very fruitful and rewarding tenure of office.
