Awka 2020 NEC Meeting of NMA
The President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Prof (Dr) Innocent AO Ujah FNMA, FNAmed, mni today 9th December 2020 led a delegation of the National Officers Committee (NOC) and other distinguished members of the association from the Anambra State branch for a Courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Unizik), Prof Charles O Esimone FAS
The president commended him for his leadership of the institution and the developmental strides recorded under his tenure.
He also solicited his support towards the enhancement of the welfare of Medical Doctors in the employ of the university.
In his response, the Vice Chancellor congratulated the President and members of the NOC on their victory at the polls.
He also appreciated the NOC for the visit.
Furthermore, he appreciated the support of NMA towards the growth of the institution.
He promised to continually identify with health related issues. He informed the delegation that he had developed an isolation center in the institution to cater for COVID-19 cases and also equipped it.
He called on NMA to advocate for an improvement in the health infrastructure and promised to heed the advise of the association.
Finally, apologized for his inability to attend the opening ceremony of the NEC meeting due to other national assignments and also wished the Association a successful deliberation during the conferenc
