61ST NMA ADM/AGC
‘TIN CITY 2021’
During the visit, the President seized the opportunity to thanke His Majesty for the warm reception accorded the NMA delegation.
He particularly commended him for his sterling leadership qualities that has brought about relative peace on the Plateau, thus making hosting of the 61st Annual Delegates Meeting/Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Medical Association in the beautiful Tin City of Jos, Plateau State a reality.
The NMA President also solicited the support of his Royal Majesty in the advocacy to tame the tide of brain drain which is adversely affecting the country and to discourage medical tourism that is depleting our lean foreign exchange reserves.
The NMA President also used the opportunity to formally invite his Royal Majesty to the opening ceremony of the NMA ADM/AGC and also gave highlights of the activities lined for the epoch making event.
In his response, The Gbong Gwom Jos thanked the President and members of the delegation for the visit.
He also used the opportunity to appreciate Nigerian Doctors for the sacrificies made on a daily basis while offering medical care and for still opting to practice in the country despite the numerous challenges militating against qualitative health care delivery in the country.
He also accepted the invitation and promised to attend the opening ceremony of the ADM/AGC.
Accompanying the President for the courtesy call were members of the National Officers Committee (NOC) and The Chairman and members of the Plateau State branch.
