The 9th Meeting of NMA NOC Holds in Abuja
The 9th meeting of the National Officers Committee (NOC) of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) was held today, the 9th of July, 2021 at the NMA Secretariat, Abuja The meeting, which was Chaired by the President , *Prof (Dr) Innocent A O Ujah, FNMA, FNAmed, mni* had in attendance other members of the NOC.
The meeting commenced at 11.20am with an opening prayer by the Deputy Secretary General, *Dr Saliu Oseni.* In his remarks, the President thanked God for the journey mercies granted members of the NOC and appreciated everyone for making it to the meeting. He highlighted the various achievements recorded by the association especially in the areas of members welfare and promised to sustain the momentum of advocacy and engagements of major stakeholders in order to enhance health care delivery in the country.
During the meeting resolutions were reached on various issues geared towards improving medical profession and the welfare/working conditions of Nigerian Doctors. The meeting was brought to an end by 6.10pm with closing prayers by the Immediate Past Secretary General, Dr Olumuyiwa Odusote.
