DR OSAHON ENABULELE EMERGES PRESIDENT-ELECT OF THE WORLD MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
On behalf of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the President, Prof
(Dr) Innocent A O Ujah FNMA, FNAmed, mni wishes to congratulate Dr Osahon Enabulele MBBS,MHPM,FWACP,FNMA on his election as the President-elect of the World Medical Association (WMA).
It is very fulfilling to note that with this historic victory, Dr Enabulele, has yet again achieved a very enviable and remarkable milestone by being the *first Nigerian and West African Physician to be elected President of the World Medical Association since the establishment of the global body of Physicians in 1947.
The association is also very delighted to note that prior to shattering this glass ceiling, Dr Osahon Enabulele, through a dint of hardwork and dedication to the advancement of the cause of Physicians was elected as the President of the Commonwealth Medical Association ( CMA), thus becoming the first Nigerian to serve in such a capacity in the body founded in 1962. The association has absolute confidence in the leadership prowess of Dr Osahon Enabulele and his ability to redefine the leadership of the global body to meet the needs and yearnings of Physicians globally, especially as we continue to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
The President and members of the National Officers Committee(NOC) celebrate the sweet victory of the 26th President of NMA ( 2012-2014), Dr Osahon Enabulele, which will go down in the annals of our history as one of the irrefutable achievements of the current leadership of the association. The President and the NOC are indeed committed towards supporting the leadership pursuits of all her members and will continue to prioritise the welfare of her constituents. Once again, congratulations and best wishes for a successful tenure of office. Congratulations, NMA! Congratulations, Nigeria!!Congratulations, Africa!!!
