ABUJA STANDS STILL AS NMA HOSTS WMA PRESIDENT-ELECT TO A GRAND RECEPTION.
Abuja, the nation’s capital is agog as Medical and Dental Practitioners from across the country, including invited Guests troop in for the grand reception organised by the Nigerian Medical Association in honour a Distinguished member, Dr Osahon Enabulele MBBS, MHPM, FWACP, FNMA who is the President-elect of the World Medical Association (WMA), the first Nigerian to ever be so elected.
The event, which will be celebrated amidst pomp and pageantry, has been put together by the Nigerian Medical Association ably led by Prof (Dr) Innocent A O Ujah, FNMA, FNAmed, mni and pioneer Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO) ,Benue State, with the support of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), chaired by Dr Francis Adedayo Faduyile,( Professor of Pathology),immediate past President of NMA and Special Adviser on health to the Governor of Ondo State is scheduled to hold by 5pm on Thursday, 24th February 2022 at the prestigious Grand Ball Room,Hawthorn Suites, Abuja.
The occasion which will be under the Distinguished Chairmanship of His Eminence, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III CFR, mni, the Sultan of Sokoto will have The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as the Special Guest of Honour.
The Guest of Honour will be His Excellency, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo GCON, while the Honourable Minister of Health,Dr Osagie Ehanire will serve as a co- Chief Host.
Dr Osahon Enabulele aka The Lion Killer is also the President of the Commonwealth Medical Association (CMA) and a past President of the Nigerian Medical Association.
