    NMA FIRST VICE PRESIDENT LEADS DELEGATION TO THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, FOR A TWO-DAY PUBLIC HEARING BY COMMITTEE ON HEALTH HEALTH INSTITUTIONS ON 12 BILLS

    NMA FIRST VICE PRESIDENT LEADS DELEGATION TO THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, FOR A TWO-DAY PUBLIC HEARING BY COMMITTEE ON HEALTH HEALTH INSTITUTIONS ON 12 BILLS

    As a continuation of the robust legislative engagements of the National Officers Committee (NOC) under the leadership of Pro(Dr) Innocent A O Ujah FNMA, FNAmed, mni, the First Vice President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Prof Rasaaq Adebayo on the 9th and 10th of March 2022, led a high powered delegation of NMA to the House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria, National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

    The delegation presented the NMA Submissions to the House of Representatives at the Public Hearing today during the Two-Day Public Hearing on the following twelve bills:

    Wednesday 9th March,2022.

    i. A Bill to Establish Federal University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Ondo,Ondo State; and Related Matters (HB 1770)
    ii. A Bill for an Act to Convert and rename University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital Comprehensive Health Centre Ihima to Federal University of Lokoja Teaching Hospital (fulth) Ihima to provide for management Board ; and for Relates matters (HB.1019)
    iii. A Bill for an Act to provide for Establishment of Federal College of Nursing Mid wifery and Health Science,Chibok, Borno State ; and for Related matters (1746)
    iv. A Bill for an Act to provide for Establishment of Federal Medical Centre Gwoza ,Borno State ; and for Related matter (HB.1746)
