    NMA President leads NOC on Courtesy Visits to NSIWC & Ministry of Science, Tech & Innovation.

    On the 4th of August 2022, the NOC of the NMA led by the President Dr Uche Ojinmah paid courtesy calls on Chairman/CEO of National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission, Barr. Ekpo Nta Esq as well as the Minister of Science , Technology and Innovation, Dr Olorunnimbe Mamora (Former minister of state for Health) at their offices in Abuja.

    First, the leadership of the NMA paid a courtesy call on the National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission in Abuja.

    They were warmly received by the Chairman/CEO of NSIWC Barr. Ekpo Nta Esq. The NMA President raised issues regarding Doctors’ remuneration in general and the hazard allowance in particular. In his response Barr Nta expressed delight at the visit and hoped for a conducive mutually beneficial relationship with the NMA. He urged the NMA to forward a list of all Doctors who have not been included for the payment of the new hazard allowance for consideration.

    Thereafter, the NOC of NMA ably led by the NMA President Dr Uche Ojinmah visited the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation our own Sen Dr Olorunnimbe Mamora in his office in Abuja.

    The President congratulated him on his elevation to the new office and wished him well and thanked him for all he has done for the Association and the Profession. In his response, the Honourable Minister noted proudly that he was first and foremost a Doctor and promised to continue to do his best for the Association and Profession from wherever he finds himself.

    Also in attendance were the Minister of State for Science, Technology and Innovation Chief Henry Ikoh and The Permanent Secretary Moni Udoh.
