NMA Leadership Visits President Buhari in Aso Rock Villa.
The Nigerian Medical Association led by the President Dr Uche Rowland Ojinmah today paid a courtesy call on the His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR The President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Federal Republic of Nigeria at the Council Chamber of the Aso Rock Villa.
Also in attendance were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha, the Chief of Staff to the President Prof Ibrahim Gambari CFR, Hon Minister for Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, Hon Minister for Labour and Employment Sen. Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige, Hon Minister of State for for Health Barr Joseph E. Nkama and other dignitaries.
On the NMA President’s entourage were all Members of the NOC, PP Osahon Enabulele, President of CMA and President-elect of WMA, MDCAN President represented by the VP1 Dr Muhammed A. Muhammed, MWAN FCT President Dr Jennifer Eze Boulhassane, NARD President Dr Godiya Ishaya Dare and members of NMA FCT. In his address, Dr Ojinmah raised issues of Doctors’ welfare including implementation of the new hazard allowance, renegotiation of CONMESS, elongation of retirement age, improvement in working conditions, provision of critical equipment, stemming the tide of brain drain and improved health budgeting. In his response, President Muhammadu Buhari thanked all Nigerian Doctors for our patriotism and effort at Nation building. He promised to continue work to improving health care delivery in Nigeria.
