Imo 2023: Courtesy Visit To Imo State Governor By NMA Leadership
On the 28th of August 2023, the NMA President accompanied by the NOC and Members of the association paid a courtesy visit on the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Sen. Hope O. Uzodimma in Government House Owerri today.
Present were the Deputy Governor Prof Placid Njoku, the CoS Govt House, SAs, Commissioners including those for Health and Health Insurace Drs Prosper Success and Barth Okorochukwu and other Cabinet members.
Mr President thanked the Governor for his developmental strides particularly in the health sector. He appealed for improved welfare for Doctors and asked for the full implementation of CONMESS. He formally invited the Governor to the Opening Ceremony of the NEC.
Governor described the health sector as a critical sector of the economy and the NMA as an important strategic partner to the development of the nation. He called on us to find new ways of resolving issues and not strikes.
Gifts were presented to the Governor.
The visit ended with group photographs.
